Summer in Kona is here and has brought with it excellent sport fishing and many Pacific Blue Marlins! Today we departed Kona's Honokohau Harbor at 6:30 am for deep sea fishing off the Kona Coast. The weather was beautiful and the waters were calm; the conditions were perfect for fishing and hooking up to big game fish. Right out of the gate we had a strike off Kona's Kaiwi point. Our guests were thrilled to be fighting a fish so early in their private charter. They were also delighted to watch the Pacific Blue Marlin dance across the surface of the water with Captain Cyrus's hand made lure hanging from its mouth! We fought the fish for 15 minutes and then brought the billfish next to the Ahi Lani. Our guests had the opportunity to view the massive marlin next to the boat before we tagged and released it. Captain Cyrus estimated our Pacific Blue Marlin to weigh over 400 pounds! Our guest exclaimed, "fishing in Kona with Kona Sea Adventures is fantastic!"
